There is no single best tattoo studio in Bangkok, just as there is no single best painter: it depends on the style you want and your taste. But if you judge by international results, BKK INK is arguably Thailand's most awarded tattoo studio, with 57 international convention awards, including first prize at the Mondial du Tatouage in Paris, where we remain the only Thai studio ever to win.

Since 2009, the studio has grown into a collective of twelve specialist artists, and every project goes to the right hands, from full back pieces and sleeves to small, delicate fine line tattoos led by a specialist. You choose the artist who masters your style: realistic portraits, Japanese, neo-traditional, new school, blackwork and geometric work, fine line, chicano lettering, old school or Sak Yant. What sets BKK INK apart from other studios is its clientele: travellers, expats and locals, along with athletes and artists such as Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai and rap star YOUNGOHM. Many of them cross Bangkok, and some cross the world, to be tattooed here.

We guide you at every step, in Thai, English or French. Before your appointment, you send us your idea on Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp or by email, or simply walk in, and we match you with the right specialist. Your artist draws an original design just for you, and we rework it with you until it feels right. The drawing is free, and your deposit is deducted from the final price.

On the day, the atmosphere is professional yet friendly and relaxed, the Thai way. If you want privacy, or if your tattoo is on an intimate area, our private VIP room lets you feel completely at ease. After your session, you leave with our aftercare soap and our step-by-step aftercare guide, and our team stays available by message until your tattoo has fully healed. If a touch-up is needed, it is free for two years.

Yes. BKK INK has been licensed since 2009 and, as far as we know, was the first tattoo studio in Thailand to be granted an official licence. Today the studio holds licence no. 2569-5001-04-000062 from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. We know the procedures that prevent cross-contamination and apply them at every session. Every needle is single-use. The ink is poured into disposable caps that are thrown away after each client. Machines, cables and surfaces are covered with protective film, and each station is disinfected between clients, with fresh gloves every time.

We work mainly with Dynamic and Eternal inks, two vegan and cruelty-free brands. Our artists who tattoo at European conventions also hold the hygiene and sanitation certifications required there. The studio itself is spacious and modern, right at the end of Khaosan Road in the historic heart of Bangkok, near the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, and open every day from noon to 11 pm. We only tattoo clients aged 18 and over.

A tattoo at BKK INK costs 1,000 THB in materials per session plus 3,000 THB per hour of work, and the maximum price is agreed with you before the session starts, so there is no surprise at the end. The smallest tattoos start at 1,000 THB. The consultation and the original design are free. A deposit from 1,000 THB lets your artist start drawing and is deducted from your final price.
