Who is Hack?

Hack is a blackwork specialist at BKK INK, focused on geometric, ornamental and Polynesian tribal tattoos, with the studio since 2012, fourteen years on the team. His command of the line also makes him one of the artists clients ask for fine line and Sak Yant.

He started out almost twenty years ago, beginning as an apprentice in a tattoo shop, making the stencils and assisting the tattoo artist, who taught him the craft little by little. He also trained at Kai, where he met Mor, before joining BKK INK.

What styles does Hack tattoo?

Hack specialises in geometric, ornamental and Polynesian tribal tattoos, the three sides of blackwork he loves most. Geometric work lives on exact symmetry, ornamental work on flowing detail, and Polynesian tribal on bold, balanced black shapes that follow the body.

The same line control is why he is often asked for fine line and Sak Yant, which he has tattooed by machine for more than ten years, with fully sterile, single-use equipment. Explore the style on our Blackwork tattoo Bangkok page.

Why do geometric and Sak Yant designs need a trained hand?

A geometric or ornamental design, like a yantra, is a precise composition of lines, dots and spacing: any slip in symmetry breaks the whole piece. That is why this work rewards years of practice, not just steady hands.

Hack brings that precision to geometric, ornamental and Polynesian blackwork, and to fine line and Sak Yant, with proper modern hygiene at every station.

What makes Hack’s linework stand out?

Hack's authority rests on time: nearly twenty years in the craft, an apprenticeship that started with stencils, and training at Kai, a pioneer of Thai tattooing, where he met Mor. That grounding shows in exact geometry, clean ornamental detail and the patient, even packing of his blackwork.

Many clients, Thai people included, come to him for Sak Yant because they want clean, precise lines and strict hygiene. He tattoos as part of a studio with 57 international convention awards since 2010, applying every design with a machine and fully sterile, single-use equipment.
