Who is Titun?

Titun is a New School and Realistic tattoo artist who joined BKK INK in 2014, twelve years on the team. He came to tattooing the long way round: before any machine he was a national breakdance champion in Thailand and a rapper, living inside rhythm, movement and colour long before a needle.

New School, the loud, saturated, cartoon-charged style, is his home, and over those years people have come to call him one of the biggest New School names in Thailand. His realistic work carries the same eye for bold contrast, which makes his portraits hit harder.

The artist who shaped him most is his friend and mentor Victor Chil, the Spanish artist who is a world reference in this work. These days Titun rarely enters competitions except for the largest international conventions, because he is now more often invited to judge on the national scene.

What styles does Titun tattoo?

Titun specialises in New School and Realistic tattoos. New School is his signature, bold outlines, exaggerated forms and saturated, cartoon-inspired colour, while his realistic work brings true-to-life portraits sharpened by the same eye for contrast.

Holding both means he can push a New School piece to its most outrageous without losing the underlying draftsmanship. If you arrive with an unconventional, colour-heavy concept, this is the chair for it. Explore the New School tattoo Bangkok page for more.

How did a breakdancer and rapper become a tattoo artist?

Titun was a national breakdance champion and a rapper before he ever picked up a tattoo machine. That background is the engine behind his style, feeding the rhythm, movement and bold colour that define his New School work.

He learned composition, timing and contrast on a dance floor and a mic long before skin, and when he moved into drawing and tattooing that instinct carried straight over, which is why his New School pieces feel kinetic rather than static.
