Tattoo Artists in Bangkok: Meet Our 12 Specialists
BKK INK is home to 12 specialist tattoo artists in Bangkok, and that specialisation is the whole point: every artist here owns one or two styles rather than doing a bit of everything. Between them they cover realistic, Japanese, Sak Yant, fine line, blackwork, neo-traditional, old school, new school, Neo-Thai, portraits, small tattoos and lettering. The team has earned 57 international convention awards since 2009, including a first prize at Mondial du Tatouage in Paris, still the only Thai studio ever to win one, and co-founder Ball BKK now judges national conventions rather than competing in them. Together they have completed more than 40,000 tattoos for a clientele that is roughly half international travellers and half Bangkok locals, in English, French and Thai. Ball BKK has been here since the studio opened in 2009; the most recent arrival is Jack, in 2024.

How to choose your artist
Start from the style. Name the style you want and we point you to the two or three artists who specialise in it: a Japanese sleeve to a Japanese hand, a chicano script to a lettering specialist.
Book a specific artist. Request an artist by name at the booking page. The most requested fill early, so larger pieces are best planned a few days ahead.
Not sure who fits? Send a reference and rough size and our reception will suggest the right two or three specialists, so you choose between strong options rather than guessing.

Frequently asked questions
How do I book a specific artist?
Request the artist by name at the booking page, or open their profile and use the “Book with [name]” button. For popular artists we recommend booking a few days ahead, especially in high season.
All twelve work at the same studio at the end of Khaosan Road, open every day from noon to 11 pm.
What if I do not know which artist I want?
That is normal. Send a few reference images and roughly where and how big, and our reception will recommend the two or three artists whose portfolios fit, so you are choosing between strong options.
Can I switch to a different artist?
Yes. If after your free consultation another specialist suits your idea better, we will move your booking, subject to availability. We would rather match you to the right hands than push you toward whoever is free first.
