We tattoo sak yant two ways, with modern rotary machines, or traditionally by hand with a bamboo rod (single-use, with sterile needles). Both methods use the highest-grade single-use needles, vegan inks, and we hold the hygiene certifications required to tattoo at European conventions. You choose the method at your free consultation. This is a deliberate decision, we deliver the same sacred designs with full hygiene traceability.

Important note on intent: our sak yant is fine art inspired by sacred tradition. We do not perform religious blessing ceremonies (kha tha) or claim spiritual activation, that is the domain of trained Ajarn masters or Buddhist monks. Most sak yant designs are completed in one to two sessions of two to four hours each. Larger compositions, Paed Tidt (8 directions) or full back yantra, may require three to four sessions. We allow a minimum of two weeks between sittings for clean healing.

Placement follows tradition: Hah Taew on the upper back or shoulder blade, Gao Yord on the nape or crown of the back, Paed Tidt centred on the back.

Sak yant tattoo pricing at BKK INK is based on time, with a guaranteed price cap agreed before we start. Sak yant pieces start at 1,000 THB. A classic five-line Hah Taew is 2,500 THB. Longer work is billed at 500 THB per 10 minutes, 3,000 THB per hour, plus a 1,000 THB material fee for full sessions. Even if a session runs longer than estimated, you never pay more than the agreed maximum.
