“They understood right away what we wanted and even adjusted the designs twice. Mo was very gentle and a perfectionist, we asked for very fine lines and soft shading, and got exactly what we wanted. The result is just perfect.”

An art student who brought Zia into tattooing

Mo is a Fine Line tattoo specialist at BKK INK. He has been tattooing since 2014 and joined the team in 2020. The precision of his lines also lets him tattoo Sak Yant, and as a big manga fan he loves working on manga-inspired designs.

He studied at an art school, where he first met Zia. A few years later their paths crossed again, and by then Mo had already become a tattoo artist, so he drew Zia into tattooing in turn. His love of drawing, and above all of manga, meant he took to the craft straight away, training across several studios before joining BKK INK.

Fine line, Sak Yant and manga

Mo specialises in Fine Line: images built from thin, precise, often single-needle lines that stay clean as they heal. That same precision lets him tattoo Sak Yant by machine, which he has done for more than ten years, and as a lifelong manga fan he especially enjoys manga-inspired designs.

Fine line is unforgiving: any wobble shows, and each line has to sit at the right depth to stay sharp for years. Explore what it suits on our Fine Line tattoo Bangkok page.

What Mo's gallery shows

His pieces range from a single-line orchid on the ribs to a koi and lotus running down the spine, a whale shark, a celestial snake with the phases of the moon, and Jiji, the black cat from Kiki's Delivery Service, for the manga and anime fan in him. Same steady hand, very different subjects.

What makes Mo’s fine line stand out?

Mo's strength is the steady, even pass that keeps a fine line reading cleanly years after it settles. The same control is what Sak Yant demands, where the lines and dots of the design have to be exact.

His manga-rooted love of drawing feeds the illustrative side of his work, and he tattoos as part of a studio with 57 international convention awards since 2010.
