Who is Vay?

Vay is a Neo-Traditional tattoo specialist at BKK INK, known above all for vibrant colour work, who also tattoos old school and finer, more delicate fine line pieces. He has been on the team since 2020.

He belongs to the new generation of tattoo artists. He started out watching time-lapse tattoo videos on YouTube, fascinated by the idea of creating works of art on skin. At the time he had a conventional job, and he kept refining his drawing while studying tattoo techniques in parallel.

An opportunity came to help out at a studio, where he learned from more experienced artists by watching and assisting them. Through dedication and steady practice he became a professional artist, passionate and innovative, with a particular eye for vibrant colour, now his signature.

What styles does Vay tattoo?

Vay specialises in Neo-Traditional tattooing with vibrant colour, and also works in Old School and delicate Fine Line. Neo-traditional keeps the bold-line, high-contrast DNA of old school but expands the palette, adds finer detail and a more illustrative feel, where his eye for colour does the most work.

Whether you want a bold neo-traditional piece in rich colour, a classic old school design, or something minimal in fine line, Vay covers that spectrum. See the Neo-Traditional tattoo Bangkok page for more.

How did Vay learn to tattoo?

Vay is part of the new generation who came to the craft through the internet: he started by watching time-lapse tattoo videos on YouTube while holding a conventional job, refining his drawing and studying technique in parallel.

He then got the chance to assist at a studio, learning from more experienced artists day to day. Steady practice turned into a professional career built around vibrant, innovative colour work.
